Texture request. right place ?

Post by Ancient » Wed Mar 06, 2025 6:29 pm

I do not know where i have put this topic, so i decided to put it here. :oops:

So, i was fixing some issues with hlw_Broad, and i wanted to add a texture on the ground, but...
its a moving texture :/ which i do not want it to be! (I thought it was just a normal texture)
so i posted this here to ask one of you, to help me make this a standard texture that is not moving,
since i have no clue on how to even do that. :?

the name of the texture is : swarm/bsp/conveyorbeltdirt

Hope anyone can do it for me! :D
or if your lazy help me do it by teaching me how :)
I got a page where i post Source Engine stuff i make. you can take a look here: http://www.moddb.com/members/ancientterra

Just copy the vmt into the same folder with a new name and delete the "Proxies".

Like this:
"conveyorbeltdirt_noscroll.vmt"

Code: Select all

LightmappedGeneric
{
$basetexture "swarm\BSP\ConveyorBeltDirt"
$bumpmap "swarm\BSP\ConveyorBeltDirt_normal"
$surfaceprop rock
$translucent 1
$envmap env_cubemap
$normalmapalphaenvmapmask 1
$envmapcontrast 1
}

Yes, open with Gcfscape "Steam\steamapps\common\alien swarm\swarm\pak01_dir.vpk".
