Beta Testing and maybe even mapping

Postby HiveLordLusa » Mon Jan 11, 2025 4:13 am

Hello

I am somebody who is willing to beta test for this game. I haven't done it before but i promise that I won't just keep it to play it, I will report errors.
I am relatively new to steam modding but i could also make maps (kind of bad ones though, for my modelling skills in hammer aren't very good yet, but i am learning).

I just found out about this mod and when i understood what you had created i just thought "Holy ***t. That is awesome." i would love to help with this in almost any way i can.

Please at least consider me.

Everyone on this forum would like to be considered as a BETA tester, you need to make a case at why you are better than everyone else here.

The thing is, I am really persistent. And if became a beta tester I would persist in finding errors. until i found almost every one (i might miss some. nobody is perfect).

I happen to find this mod about an equal to or better than Black mesa source, which was until today my most eagerly awaited mod ever in my life.

There is a thing called the delete button..

Just you saying your persistant and your word that you will find allmost all errors in the game is no reason why you are a better choice than everyone else. You need to show initiative and regularly participate in the forums for a start. Examples of previous BETA testing experiences are also helpfull.

Look, wizard. the delete button didn't appear for any on of the three posts, but if it did the messages would be gone by now. Also, I have already mentioned that (very important) I have not been a beta tester before and i would like to. you can't get experience without doing it at least once.

I'd like this to be my experience.

Im sorry where does it say that you need to have previous BETA testing experience??

if english isnt your first language what that means is if you have experience, MAKE NOTE, because it its very helpfull at getting a position.

We're currently looking for 3d Artists, Texture Artists, and Level Designers, but if you have other skills you think could help us out (like sound design or voice acting)

if the devs want beta testers they will contact whoever they feel is appropriate it for that

making posts about wanting to be a beta tester annoys them mostly and makes them not consider you

you are welcome to(even encouraged to) make maps though.

and another thing, this retarded bickering is quite dumb

its true, if you wanna map you can make them release them on the forums or moddb page and if its realy good they might even add in the next version.
atleast thats what i've learned around here :)

We will recruit beta testers from the forum community. The best way to get this is to be mature and generally not a moron on the forums, and more importantly to show that you will stick around and not disappear in a month or three - and the only way this can be demonstrated is by staying around for a while.
