Game crashing on start

I have downloaded the Lambda Wars beta on steam to play with some friends. I click play and steam notices that it started by changing my name green, but then it just crashes without showing any indication that it started besides my name and the process that appears only for a few seconds. I have verified game cache, restarted steam, and restarted pc multiple times and have no clue what I should do.

I have an i5-4460, GTX 750 ti, 8gb ddr3 ram, 1tb hdd.

After some playing around, I have found that the game only runs when I go directly to the Lambda Wars Beta file in the steam game directory.

But then it probably didn't start correctly, because it would be missing some launch parameters. Can you check if any mdmp file is generated inside the Lambda Wars folder?

Also, did you try verifying the game cache?
