Problem with resolution

When ever I open the game, no image is displayed, so I have to close it and change my native resolution to something more commonly used. After changing the resolution in the game options, I revert my native resolution back. It works fine from then on however once I close the game the options revert the default resolution back to something else. Can you give me some advice on how to permanently change the game's resolution to my native one. My native resolution is 1080p, 1366 x 768. I am usually forced to change it to 720p, 1280 x 720. Thanks for any help.

As a work-around you can add the launch options "-w 1280 -h 720". This is likely an Alien Swarm problem, so I'm not entirely sure if we can fix it on our side.
