Can't join online lobbys

When I try to join an online lobby, it wont work. I will hit JOIN next to the player count and it just opens a FFA with nobody occupying the player slots. Is this a bug? Or am I just joining online games wrong? I can still make a lobby and have people join, or join people from my friendslist. I just can't seem to join from the server browser. Anyone know what's wrong?
Two possibilities exist.
Either we are alone in the universe or we are not.

Can you check if the file "SteamApps\common\Lambda Wars\lambdawars\steam.inf" says Version 257 (just open it in notepad or something)? Otherwise try validating your game cache.
