Forum Improvements

Postby aceacs123 » Mon Oct 13, 2024 4:47 am

i dont know how hard it is to change settings on a forum but i thought some suggestions might be helpful...
i think this would be a very useful tool to add next to all the post.
you could put a mod bar that all registered users can give it a positive or negitive score if the score is low enough the comment will be calapsed
and you wont have to see it unless you click on it and uncalapse it
so its basicly like on you tube.
and the mods could calapse stuff instead of deleting it

That would be helpful. But i would ask hellspawn on it as he is person who locks the majority of old revisited posts.

i'm not sure that this is functionality that is implemented into phpBB at all.
and anyway, if you want forum settings changed then you should ask Ennui.

in phpBB3 adding someone as foe will collapse their posts by default, but i'd think it'd be a drag and a waste of time to change the code so it does what you want it to do (if you can even change the phpBB3 code at all to such extents).

Yes you can, but you would need to code it in. There is a large range of mods for phpBB3, you would just need to search the database for a mod like this, or like i said you may have to code it in yourself.

Personally i would be happy with a rep system, where you can give rep to people for good posts, and you can leave a reason and then there rep goes up +1
