but i see them on other picts by other ppl hmmm very confusing and i thought he said it was in the 1.5 update

They'll appear eventually, but there is still the issue of how.

Striders are PRETTY powerful, and can wipe out a rebel base quickly, so there needs to be careful consideration

They're already in the mod, but with finicky RPG rebels they're kind of unfair so that's why you haven't seen them. You can spawn them though.
