Hello, I haven't been on the forum in a long time, I only came back into this game now that the steam version is out. I just wanted to make some suggestions for music played in the game. This idea may have been suggested before, however, as I haven't been here in a while.
Firstly, I would like to suggest some music that plays when a faction wins or loses a game, depending on the faction in question. I'll provide some examples from the HL2 OST
Combine Win Music:

A generic example but a good song nonetheless.
Combine Lose Music:

Rebels Win Music:

Rebels Lose Music:

As for song length, it could simply play once and cut off when the player leaves the game over menu.
Now, my second suggestion, ambient and combat music. I tended to notice when playing the same ambient track would sometimes loop, regardless of the situation. I'd like to make a suggestion on an audio system that plays different pieces depending on what is going on in-game.
For example, when base building and no fighting is happening, some basic audio, or even a tense piece could play.
Idle ambient suggestions:

Another example, when units get into combat, the music should quickly switch to a more fitting soundtrack. However, if playing with allies, I wouldn't recommend this to happen for the player who is not involved in the fighting (Unless they get involved, of course) so it doesn't break ambient immersion. A specific theme could also play if a specific faction's base is under attack.

Please excuse me not actually posting the videos, the YouTube link button doesn't seem to be working.

Re: Win/Lose and Ambient soundtracks.
Hello, thank you for your feedback.
This is a very interesting idea and I really think it fits the atmosphere. I believe there is a sound folder containing 3 music files for tension music, although I'm not sure. You can find it in SVN version (which you would need to download first: Lambda Wars\lambdawarsdev\sound\Music\Dynamic A. These do seem to fit for tension when engaging a number of enemies. For big amount of enemies a very tense music, for a small group - passively tensioned music.
I will talk to my colleagues about this.
