Steam Trading cards?

Im just wondering if there will be any steam trading cards

I just had an idea for them and im not sure if they were discussed or anything but i had an example (With help of paint (Im not a good photo shopper so...) for a metro cop trading card

Yes i know the "card" isn't great, but im no artist sadly so im not gonna be "LOOK AT THIS MAGNIFICENT WORK THAT LOOKS LIKE ANIME"

But really im just curious, has this already been discussed and i was late to the party?

Steam trading cards are not available for mods/non-commerical games.

However we will add achievements and workshop support.
