Flying units suggestions (all race)

hello i have suggestions for flying units.

combine :-the helicopter : can shoot all units and can drop a bomb with an abilities (like grenades) with combine helicopter skin.
-the dropship : can transport units, had no weapon.

rebels :-the helicopter : like combine helicopter without bomb need to reskin the combine helicopter in the style of the rebels
turrets in hl2 ep2.
-the transporter : can transport units and can throw rockets with high cooldown and cost with more health than the
dropshiptake the skin of the helicopter at the end of hl2 ep2.

antilions :-the flying figther : a classic antilion with constant flying can just attack other flying units can deal high dammage
because he had low health and short range attack
-the splitter : an acid antilion with constant flying can attack land unit .

(for antilion he can be an upgrade and you switch to flying or land.)

On the topic of helicopters for the rebels, how about using a Russian Hind skin pulled from a garry's mod. It may be a bit far fetched as to say it would be more feasible that rebels would be able to get their hand on more pre-7 hour war helicopters than stealing and refitting Combine heavy support on a massive scale. However, this would give the rebels more of their own salvage/rusty/human rebel force feel. Seeing that old salvaged helicopter at the end of Episode II just seems to make old human helicopters more suitable for the rebels.

Also there are many tell-tale signs that Half Life 2 is set in Russia. The Russian/(antlion) mine in episode II and the Russian cars for instance. Surely there'd be lots of old Hind's to go round after a war that lasted only 7 hours put them out of action.

Well valve stated that HL2 Doesn't take place in any specific country, they just wanted to give felling of repression by taking common Warsaw pact style.

That sounds about right. What you end up with is essentially Russia or more so a post Soviet Union poorly maintained Country. Switching from playing GSC's S.T.A.L.K.E.R series to Half Life 2, I get the feel of very similar environments and setting. This is likely the source of my preference/bias for an old rusty Hind backing a human resistance against a sterile, shiny futuristic technology of the alien Combine.

Thanks. However, the problem with my suggestion and likely to OP's is how to get orderable flying units to spawn and move around properly on normal unit paths without glitching out of the screen. This would make a nice Tier 4,5,6 for lengthy or hard-core games though.

Combine helicopter and gunship are already present in Sandbox and navigate the map successfully. They are both smaller than the Hind though)
I think copters should fire not only miniguns but missiles as well.

The Mi-24 Hind is both an attack and transport helicopter, so it can play both roles in combat.

Already present in Sandbox, they're called mutalisks and can attack both land and air targets.

I find the helicopter idea splended!
Just imagine levels where helicopters can go where normal units cannot ... like islands or Mountins!
