How far are we?
This is just a really general question. :p Do you have any rough estimation of how far you are into doing the next release?

Whether it is buggy or not, I reckon it will be damn fun with everything else. I hear striders will be customisable to move around everywhere in the next version. ok now i rly dont know about the rest of u but i can spawn stirders and mvoe them practiacally anywhere honestly i can,i dont know if other people can or y people are talking about it but i rly dont see to the problem,other poeple of course would.

My problem with Striders is that if you get a new custom map from here on this forum, that is not hlw_sandtraps, hlw_crashed or wmp_forest, then Striders spawned via 'unit_create unit_strider' will not change their current position if you order it to with the mouse. If there is any console command that spawns strider nodes all over the map so striders can move then please, I am very much more than 'all ears'. I really want to try out some stuff in these maps that include striders. Also, in suggestion threads I posted something I found on steam news about updates off steam I might put here for the relevance to the fact that HL2 Wars might be a little more advanced in the future if Sander takes this opportunity(He will when he sees it).

As a part of our continuing efforts to support the MOD community, we will begin hosting selected MODs directly on Steam starting next week. The first five MODs to ship on steam will be Age of Chivalry, D.I.P.R.I.P., Insurgency, Synergy, and Zombie Panic. As always, owners of any Source game will be able to download and play all of these MODs for free.
Once installed, these MODs will appear in your "My Games" list and will receive automatic updates just like other games on Steam. Also, these MODs now take advantage of Steamworks, which provides stat tracking and tighter integration with the Steam community.
We're excited to see MOD developers get wider recognition for the hard work they have done, and we hope to support more MOD teams in the future. Watch for the official release next week!

I will be adding Strider nodes to wmp_outland soon. well let me put it this way say were in ireland and at the end of the rainbow there's a pot of gold(aka when were finished) and were we are now is were i say in the comparison which is say oh bout' up your butt and around the corner? (JK) but seriously were on mars
