Funny story
Me and my friend were playing with each other and we decided to both be combine. While we were getting our forces ready, the winning screen popped up and me and my friend were both confused what happened, so we sent a scanner to see what happened, and when we saw why we had won we both started laughing. Earlier we started spamming head crabs near the rebel base, around 50 or 100, but the head crabs had taken hosts and obliterated the rebels and that was why we had won. I wished I had taken screenshots to show it, but if you try what we did please post some pictures here to show the carnage that the head crabs have done to your enemy.

That's.. Interesting. I've never been able to get less than 3-4 canisters of headcrabs thrown at once to do any decent damage.
How do you people even use them?

To spam them you have to have a scanner at the place you want to attack and you need to have multiple launchers and lots of energy.

I'm aware of how to spam them, I'm just not quite sure of how you can make it effective. With the same cost of a headcrab spam, you can get far better units, in my experience.

Headcrabs are good because they don't need to kill their host, they only need to bring the host to about 70 hp so they can turn them into a zombie.
Besides, they deal descent 20 damage.
Fast headcrabs are hard to hit because they jump a lot and AI can't choose the target they want to kill first, so they switch to closest targets and get killed in the end. Unless you have a 100 unit army with AR2 and Shotguns, all can stop them is a spam of, say, 5+ cannisters. Thats a lot of power wasted. So go synth units more often. As rebels get flamers, RPG and DOG.
Everything can be countered, you just need a good approach.
