new combine scanner

what was the point of removing its camo ability? At least give it 1.5 sight because you cant scout with it ,because it will be shooted 1 second later after enemy spotted it.
Also it has an ability to blind units in a small radius. Guess it is totally useless in its current form, because you will never make that close to be useable.
Devs, rethink this unit, because atm the combine doesnot have any scout unit while rebels can spam radio tower ability.

rebel have scout at 30 second of game > cloak and hide in enemy base
combine have late scanner , 10 min after power scrap done ... and it cant cloak

)
i think bring back old scanner is fine , it can flash enemy and blind like CSGO

I don't agree with changing it back so quickly. In HL2 Scanners were mass produced. They were intrusive and suicidal, and behaved almost liked manhacks. The old passive scanners didn't fit the Combine's personality. It would be cool if people could use scanners aggressively in large numbers rather than as a generic scouting unit.
I still think the new scanner could be a good unit. Increasing its vision range is fair. Maybe the flash ability should also increase its vision range even farther when used.
Making scanners crash dive into units when killed like in HL2 would give them aggressive potential, but I don't know if this feature will be added. Though just making them explode and do damage when killed would be enough and would probably be pretty fun.

op posted about it being weak and I posted suggestions for making it better. We know about flash being weak now also.

For the most part, despite the fact that it got cloak removed its very effective still. I manage to sneek it up enemy base's without them even noticing.

The scanner works too damn well with headcrab cannister launcher, so I disagree.
Besides, it also has a hu-fucking-mongous movement speed which allows it to flee any time. The range of flash is also a thing.
Scanner is good as it is. It is a supper aggressive unit and is easy to hide and hard to find.
