Is the hammer tool still usable for lambda wars?

I'm curious because i want to get into the map making business and want to make a map for lambda wars, obviously i'm still trying to figure out- everything, BUT i will get there

...eventually...

But what i need to know is, is everything still the same or has anything changed where i need to do something else? (Because considering this game was a mod and now a stand alone game, i have a bit of concern that something has changed)

I believe you just need Alien swarm - SDK And the LW entities: (Not sure if they changed that by now though)

Yeah you use hammer--the one in the alien swarm sdk.
