combine power

hello everyone

i am writing this because i think combines get their power resource way too easy and for rebels it is harder to get scrap metal, combines can build power generators faster than rebels can build engineers and scrap piles can only be looted by limited amount of engineers. lots of power to combines means they can build many hunters that are very tough units.

Nah, rebels have a pretty awesome rate of gathering once you get the engineers on it. Not to mention that the majority of combine players only build 4-5 power generators. Rebels also have access to powerful units such as the vortigaunt and the rpg rebel, so play your cards right and hunters arent really a problem.

yes but combines can kill the engineers (who are far from base) while having their generators safe at base. combines can outproduce rebels and build lots of elites. I always rush with rebels in very aggressive manner to gain advantage at early game, but if combines play defensive game then tables might turn. but indeed the mixture of vortigaunts and rpg units are almost unstoppable. those power generators seem to produce energy faster than engineers can gather scrap.
so i guess combines have huge advantage at late game but hey there is a strategy of rebels to send engineers at combine base right away and kill the stalkers then finish the rest of the base.

Power generators are weak and can be easilly destroyed as well as power cells. If you destroy power cells, you lose all the energy stored, while rebels keep the scrap.
Besides, 8 engineers gathering scrap is enough for a rush of strong units like RPG.
Denying scrap farm is easy because no one builds defenses for them ;)

true, true i played this game for 30 hrs now and its seems not so bad
