Not to mention that since this is a mod, available for free, it's not competing with Halo Wars and the Ensemble crew.

Also, now that Ensemble is closed, that's one less studio that could hire these guys to turn their hobby into a paying career.

Nope, Ensemble closing is a bad thing all around. The only good thing about that closure was that a majority of the Ensemble crew have started a new studio of their own.

Halo wars, is a big budget game made by a rich game dev, which will make lots of money.

hl2wars is a mod for a game (half life 2)

It's not suppose to compete with anything and it's no where near the level of an actual proper retail game nor is any other mod ever created for half life 2 (except garrysmod and natural selection 2)

Why would sander have to deal with them? they probs dont even know about hl2wars, they probz dont even know what hl2 is they probz dont even no where they are half the time.

Do you see my frustration with your threads? your acting like this is a stand alone game, big budget, its gonna sell in retail stores its gonna compete with other games, well its not. This is plain and simple a rts mod for half life 2 wars, yes i believe it will be big in the half life 2 mods genre and it will probz have to compete with other half life 2 rts mods in the future.

OH GOD NO! ENSEMBLE STUDIOS!

I remember when I was 7, the first RTS game I was hooked on. Age of Empires 1, a demo.
Later I got the actual game, oh god, that was fun.

Then I got the second one (along with the expansion) and holy crap, that was awesomeness of fun.


Then it kinda slipped away, bad titles like AoE 3 came and I didn't get a chance to try the Age of Mythology or similar.


But now...

Halo Wars is going to suck (read: generic, uninspired, mediocre), just like every other Halo game.

RIP Ensemble though. They fell from glory in the past several years but AOE I and II both have special places in my heart.
