my instincts tells me it sucks
but then again i hate most new games so blah
i will give it a try when it finishes downloading nevertheless

looks fun, but im more interested in the sdk updates and the new tile based map maker.

Also the engine it is on would be pretty close to the portal 2 engine.

alien swarm, doesn't really look like its my sort of game...
i'd prefer portal 2... it looks awesome
and it also has amazing graphics compared to other games from valve.

okay i changed my mind, now that i've played it.... Its awesome!
it has a realy good gameplay, and for free to!

The good parts about the game is that you can have a lot of stuff to use, and that you have 3 other teammates.

The bad parts is that the Parasites are one pain in the ass alongside the Shieldbug, and the Alien Swarms reminds me of the Zerg Swarm...

Lolz, I know. Then we'll have to live with the fact that Parasites and Shieldbugs are there to make your day worse.

i had it for like 30 minutes that i couldn't find a server?
until a few friends came online and i played with them?

I suffered those. My first ever teammates got owned by Swarm Parasites and they were prone to killing a friend accidentally, plus they often shot and burned me during the Campaign too. And I waited like 33 minutes for a Server to play in. Valve should oughta fix the Servers stuff and add bots in online Campaigns where you'd want to play alone or something. That'd be easier for everyone.

you can do offline practice with bots, or when you are doing online and evryone but you leaves you will get them replaced by bots,
so they have done it already.

I played a fair bit of this (a lot with Biotec) until Starcraft 2 came out and devoured my free time for gaming. Pretty boring except on Insane, or trying to do speedruns. Once you play a little bit of insane (like L4D expert) you can't really enjoy any easier level because it's too simple and one player can pretty much carry the whole team as long as they aren't total morons. However, insane is a total blast. Doing speedruns is too, even on normal, because the speedrun achievement times are extremely slim and require serious coordination to pull off.

For something that is free, and with such a high production value (even if the campaign is like 4 hours at most), I can't complain. Once a few good custom campaigns pop up it'll be great.
