Thread of all open positions. Will be updated if needed.

Lead Sound Designer
Open positions: Pending
Job:
  • - Creating/Finding voices for units for things like selection, ordering, attacking ( so everything related to ordering units )
    - Interface sounds, button clicks
    - Announcer sounds
As lead sound designer it is your job to find the sounds and see if it fits the game. Unit sounds can be easily added with script files.

Modellers
Open positions: Open
Job:
Main job is to model buildings for the basebuilding aspect, both combine and rebels. Possible includes designing the buildings.

Level Designers
Open positions: Unlimited
Job: Create missions. If the mission appears to be fun/good, it can be included in the next release.

Voice actors
Open positions: n/a

Beta testers
Open positions: FULL for the moment. But a lot of testers go inactive after a short while for some reason, so this can change. If you just want to check out the current state of the mod, you can find the intern test builds here currently: http://hl2wars.hlrse.net/downloads/builds/
Job: Find bugs, do suggestions, test gameplay

Hm i could cancel my map becuase im having mutiple problems and become a sound designer but im not compltly keen on being the lead one incase i fuck somthing up otherwise if I dont get killed for not getting in somthing on time becuase my collage work comes first ill be happy to be the lead sound desinger. Except ill have to learn how to script the sound files to units as well.

This would be also awsome to go towards my skills development portfolio in one of my Subjects so im up for it =)

Yea ill have ago of sorting somthing out ill E-mail you somthing ASAP What kind of things did you have in mind? Unit Voices? Music? Etc? Ive got a piece of music which is base for somthing really epic im just not completly sure if it fits HL2 Wars but ill try sending it to ya. Also Im not brilliant at making Acually Music just tend to be good at finding it usually. I prefer the more chartctor voices and game sounds. So if the Title Sound Director rather than lead sound director suits me more ill take that.

Music is not necesarry. It's more about the voices and gamesounds, things like selecting a unit, etc. It's even not necesarry to create them yourself, but find the voice actors for it, write the lines. That's why it is the lead sound designer position ;)

AH brilliant ill be able to do that easy :D yea im up for it ill try get you some samples when i can ive gotta go record some first get sound actors etc.
Also ive got alot of noted down Unit command Audio for the Rebels and Just started on the Combine list.

Sander im gonna try and get my command lines for units recorded soon from a variety of people and e-mail you some of the results. If you want the script ive wrote up just say and ill e-mail you them.

Hello, i saw your mod (downloading it shortly) and was stunned to find that i had the exact same idea (with some exeptions)
i represent Project Europe, we are a newly started group of amateur mappers looking for something to do.. if its okay with the rest of the team, i could imagine us helping you making this mod, masterpiece.

though our team needs some recruiting and stuff, i imagine you could focus on development as we made maps.

I can design and create the buildings but only via brush work, I'm not using a modeling program but I can create a very detailed and textured buildings that are made in hammer and send you the vmfs, You can then import them to a 3d modeling program and make them a full model.
I have a 3 years experience with brush work and I've been playing RTS games for all my life.
I already have a lot of designs ideas for the combine and the rebel buildings, Just give me a list (barracks, war factory, etc) and I can finish in a matter of days.

Maybe you can show some examples?
I'm not going to export .vmf files to a 3d modeling program and recompile them as a model.
