I'm pretty sure i brought up beta stuff before, even gave them a class system that they'd fit into so it wouldn't just be "plz add beta cause it rox". The combine assassin actually does work in Missing Information mod, which is dead, so get it from there.

The most obvious and logical path is to just build air factories, vehicle factories, and barracks, then do research (even tho technicly the combine start with everything unlocked).

Tanks have a static setup that can be upgraded via research. Their apc has a base set thn improves by adding infantry, at least thats the most reasonable idea.

Solid snakes upgraded box disquise, didn't you know? Seriously though, with the time and a few thousand dolars, or a large pile of scrap steel, a sherman is pretty cheap and easy to make. The rebels seem to be good mechanics, so they could easily make a Mad Max type tank with simple designs. M4 Pros...

Diesel ran out is 2010? HOLY CRAP START HORDING!!!

HL1 happened in like 200*, so the oil supplies would still be around in hl2, but the usable gas and refineries would be rare.

Still need gas masks and basic camo (like second hand ghillie suits, they still have their training, and can teach new rebels). I know i suggested the assassin like 5 times, and id have it pull out a beta sniper rifle as a free, 2 second special abillity, and with cloaking, but its regular dual USP match pistols and cqc for close range.

A lot of this is terrible, 50% for an ar2? THATS THE BEST ASSAULT RIFLE IN THE GAME!!! Anyway, ambush: not likely, just place units strategicly. Hopper mines and turrets: engineers already build them. Their special forces would probably be HECU soldiers (unless they make models for every anti terror...

I saw make a regular mid tech-level helipad structure, at first you have gunships (to compliment your apcs), then as your level goes up, so do your construction options. Hunter-massacre-er: uses charging pulse crap-accuracy canon to attack, drops 2-3 mines for 200-300 res. Slow but fairly well armor...

In EaW:FoC, you have a check box for enabling/disabling auto abillities, but even with it on its still possible to manually use them. If this new system works, then it'll be perfect.

Aircraft are most likely high pop constructable units, not superpowers, and the portal storm would kill everything friend or foe on the map, as well as lever the place, before any units arived, do some research.

OK, the reason in hl2 rebels>combine is for difficulty reason. Mind you if the combines displayed real abillity and were as smart and accurate as they should really be, the game would be completely unbeatable. They suck so you stand a chance.
