I think it takes away a part of the risk of building a unit. I believe that if the player is not refunded any resources for deleting the unit, then they are still punished sufficiently for taking the risk and losing. They're also missing out on all the time it took to produce that unit and all the ...

I've had some success fighting them with vortigaunts and antlion swarms with an RPG rebel or two, but they are out of control

I think a little UI tweaking would be nice, specifically I'd enjoy seeing how many players a map can hold next to its name in the map selection screen, and I think it would be extremely helpful if player spawns were labeled in the small picture preview of the map in the lobby, which would solve the ...

I could see this being a silly game mode where one person controls the RTS side and an ally can take control of different units from the FPS perspective. I'd start deleting units that were about to be killed and moving my base to the other side of the map if I felt the enemy's pushing were to be successful. I don't think deletion should refund resources

I feel like they just shouldn't be bullet resistant AND highly mobile in a game where most of the units are using bullets

I think Mr. Darkness' observations are apt. Giving Combine a thumper defensive structure would be a great addition in my opinion, but of course other rebel players would have to have a reasonable counter to antlions too

My buddy's problem was unrelated to Lambda Wars as it turns out, and his runs just fine now aside from not being able to zoom in/out in game. Thought it would be worth updating on

I agree. Canon fodder rebels is especially on point, a lot of the time it seems like the rebel troops are just way weaker than their combine counterparts in addition to be extra vulnerable to grenades and energy orbs.
