also, i thought that "picking up the pieces" was a much better title, so while the map can be called whatever, the title displayed when the mission starts and under the map discription in game etc, should remain "picking up the pieces" while it may be confusing have a map name hlw_return or somethin...

also while guerrilla tactics work fine in cities, they are not effective in straight firefights or in big open spaces (ie out side the cities) or places where its just them and thier enemy, so i dont realy think the rebels can use that to thier advantage, atleast not in this mod. and your right, the...

the thing with the rebel special characters is that the rebels are portrayed all as individuals, each with thier own story to tell, where as the combine are more mysterious, brutal, efficient and characterless, there is the occasional reference to the combines being individual at the start of hl2 in...

also hl2 does have built in scripts for rebels picking up weapons on the ground, since every dead combine does drop a weapon, and im pretty sure i have seen a rebel pick up the odd AR2 and shotgun off the floor, but there is no way of invocing this, and to allow rebels to recieve resorces when picki...

that would make a rebels imposible to play defensively, and would lag out horribly as the game has to track every dropped weapon and item, also, if the combine retreat each of thier units before they die, the rebels will never get any resorces, while the combine's will constantly grow. im not saying...

i think the fact this mod seems to reflect what we have seen in games such as company of heroes, and as such, even the beta system of resource management: a world in conflict style replenishing requisition pool and increases its maximum and replen rate with each captured location, works very well, b...

im all for team specific HUDs, but i agree provided the idea is noted nothing will be done with it for awhile, the 2 main ways of having more than (say 8) units in the hud is either to have some arrows (DOW style) or just to make all the images smaller depending on how many units you have selected, ...

ontop of the objectives and control points do i need to do anything about setting where levels in a building start and stop, for when the floors are transparent or not (i wouldnt know how to do this either currently)
